The blade was polished.
habaki:On the copper habaki, shimazu family crest engraved
with gold color.
Blade length : 70.6 cm or 27.79 inches.
Sori : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi :2.97 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era :Edo period Enpo era.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with deep Sori
and long Kissaki nice looking shape.
On the front, Suken and dock are engraved and on the back,
waterfall and Kaen food are engraved nice ly.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with jinie atatch beautiful texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha hamon. Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : The blade is mentioned as Oumi Daijyo fujiwara Tadahiro but unfortunately the blade is fake.
But the hormone are very nice sculpture.
The blade itself good sword like Bungo Takada school.
Of course if remove the signature, the blade will pass NBTHK Hozon token.
If remove the signature, the blade will pass NBTHK Hozon paper.
