Era : Modern period.
Shape : It is 3.42 cm wide and rather thick katana with Bo-Hi engraved at both side of the blade.
It is O-Kissaki sword. It is shape of Keicho Shinto shape. It is gorgous katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is fine chikei work. It is clear jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki Gunome Midare with sunagashi and kinsuji works.
Special feature : Kuniie was born in Showa 20th year in Tokyo Katsushika ku.
His first name is Yoshihara Soji. He has learned sword making from his grandfather first generation Kuniie.
He has studied with his actual brother Yoshihito Tosho.
It is well grained beautiful jitetsu with gorgeous choji midare.
There such as Ichimonji and Nagamitsu. Showa 57th year, he has been judged as Mukansa.
Showa 57th year, he has made sacred treasure Tachi for regular shrine removal of Ise Shrine.
He has won awards such as the Prize of Commissioner for Cultural Affairs third times and has won 11th time.
In the movie Last Samurai, he had been casted in sword smith roll.
This piece is famous Kunihiro who has successfully immitated Yamanba Giri Utsushi.
Mukansa swordsmith Toshi Musashi Jyu Kuniie has completely immitated Kunihiro work.
Yamanba Giri is another name of Bizen Osafune Nagayoshi and has been passed down to Owari family from Enpo 9th year.
It is said that this sword was used for defeating Yamanba(monster) in the mountain in Shinshu Togaku.
This Kunihiro is assigned as Juyo national treasure.
This piece was called the master of modern smith.
It is Mukansa Tosho Kuniie who has put its sould on making this immitation sword.
It is fine Kinsuji work. This work is outstanding.
