The blade was polished
Habaki:silver single habaki.
Blade length : 69.8 cm or 27.48 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.07 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : About 5cm suriage cut shortened nakago and bo-hi is engraved on both sides of the blade.
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained with jinie attach nice beautiful jigaane(texture).
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with small ash, nezumiasi work.
Special feature : Kanesada was said that is a stream of Sizu school and lived at Akasaka province. 2nd generation is quite well known sword makers with Kanemoto
Mino school. It is difficult to judge which generation Kanesada but I think the blade might be 3rd generation Kanesada.
The blade is cut shortened but whole signature is mentioned.
The blade is accompanied with NBTHK Hozon paper.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the round syakudo nanako plaate, flowers are engraved with gold color: early Edo period.
Fuchikashira :On the syakudo nanako plate, horses are engraved with gold color.
Saya : On the gold nashiji saya, phoenix and flowers are painted with gold color.
Menuki : On the syakudo nanako plate, bird is engraved.
Kogai : On the syakudo nanako plate, engraved a horse which is eating grass designe.
