This sword belongs to Jyo-Jyo saku ranking.
The blade is polished by a good polisher.
Habaki : silver single habaki.
Blade length : 69.1 cm or 27.2 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.512 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.04 cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.15 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period Enpo era.
Shape : The blade is regular width thickness with a small sori and long kissaki.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached which is called Oosaka jigane.
Hamon : From the Hamachi, suguha hamon and then Cyoji midare hamon with ashi. Boshi is round shape.
Special Feature : Kawachi (No) Kami Kunisuke the 2nd was commonly called Naka-Kawachi(Middle Kawachi, he was between the 1st and the 3rd). Beacuse of the brilliant hamon he was also called Shinto-Ichimonji.
He started forging sword around Keian era, in the mid-17th century and passed away in 1698. It is said that he invented Kobushigata-choji hamon (fist-shaped temperline) which won applause at that time and still has great appeal in modern times. One of Kunisuke's swords’ characteristics is that most of his works having no Sori so much. The same thing can be said of Yasusada’s works.
This wakizashi shows an elegant workmanship of Konie-deki with deep nioi-kuchi, and no the ara-nie which is a weak point of Kunisuke the Second.

Saya : Unusual design saya.
Tsuba : On the round shape iron Tsuba, arrows are engraved.
Menuki : An Ume flower is engraved with gold and silver color.
Fuchikashira : On the iron plate, Ume flowers are engraved with gold and silver color.
