The blade was polished.
Habaki:gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 68.2 cm or 26.85 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.99 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.99 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is regular size with small sori and longer kissaki which is called Kanbun shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with jinie attach and chikei work.
Hamon : From the Hamachi area, suguha and then Gunome midair and choji midair, Kobushi shoji midair mixed with ash.
Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : Kawachi (No) kami Kunisuke the Second, commonly known Naka-Kawachi made this wakizashi.
From the brilliant hamon, he is also called Shinto-Ichimonji.
He come into forging sword around Keian era, in the mid-seventeenth century
and passed away in 1698. It is said that he created Kobushigata-choji hamon, fist-shaped temperline.
It won applause at that time and still has great appeal in modern times.
Kunisuke's sword has a tendency curved slightly. The same thing can be said of Yasusada.
This wakizashi shows elegant workmanship of Konie-deki with deep nioi-kuchi though
the ara-nie is a weak point of Kunisuke the Second.
This sword is elegant nice Kobushi cyoki midare hamon without Aranie.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba, wave is engraved with openwork. Shoami, Edo period.
fuchikashira: Shakudo plate with Kizami, flower is engraved. Late Edo period.
menuki : Shakudo plate, Kiri Mon is engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black Kizami Saya
