Tenna 2 nen 2 gatsu hi (February 1682)
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Mitsuhira.(Not guarantee) belongs to regular saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 68.6 cm or 27.00 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.18 cm or 1.25 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.24 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period.
Shape : Wide and thick blade.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada grained with Jinie attached. There are Utsuri.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome and Choji Gunome Midare.
In Ha, there are many Ashi.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : Hioki Mitsuhira was a top ranking Edo Ishido school and called Hioki Shichirobei Jyu. Shinto Josaku, Ryo Wazamono.
His older brother is Tsunemitsu and younger brother is Munehiro.
At Jyouou 1st year, he moved to Edo Akasaka and got the title Dewa Kami
and later on at Kanbun 3rd year, he got the title Hokyo Mitsuhira.
Generally he made sword with kikumon family crest
and named Dewa Nyudo Taisin Hokyo Minamoto Mitsuhira.
This blade has signature "Dewa Nyudo Taishin Hokyo Mitsuhira".
This signature is largely similar to a genuine signature.
But from the blade, we guess this blade is not genuine.
And it seems to us that is Sai-Ha(re temper).

Tsuba : Mokko shape iron Tsuba.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo, dragon is engraved.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki : Shishi dog is engraved.
