Explanetion: Hisamichi was made this blade using imported iron on lucky day December 1688-1704.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Omi kami Minamoto Hisamichi first generation belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by highest polisher.
habaki:gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 72.0 cm or 28.34 inches.
Sori : 2.3 cm or 0.90 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.30 cm or 1.29 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.13 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era :Edo period Genroku era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful texture.
Hamon : From Hamachi area, suguha with thick nioikuchi
and then gunome midare like doranba hamon.
Boshi is also thick nioikuchi round shape.
Special feature : Oumi kami Minamoto Hisamichi first generation was called Hori Rokurobei.
He was born at Kanei 3rd at Ko-syu province and moved to Kyoto
and studied under the Kinmichi Iga. He studoed hard and got
the tytle Oumi Daijyo and then Oumi Kami.
His master Iga Kami Kinmichi permitted to engrave
Kikumon(family crest kiku family crest)on the tang.
Probably his master Kinmichi esimated highly for his works and his character also.
This sword is very nice shape and good Jigane and also wonderful
thick nioikuchi big gunome midare hammon compatible Jyuto Token.
If the nakago condition is perfect, the blade will pass Jyuyo token.

Historical background: At Kanbun 11th, Date soudo
("Oie Sodo" which means trouble in one big master's territory.）
Daimyo Date family's trouble inside of family finished at Kanbun 11th.

Busyu Jyu Masatsune. Genuine.
Fuchi: On the syakudo plate, bambo is engraved. Kashira :horn.
Saya : black roiro saya.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, family crest is engraved.
