This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished
Blade length : 72.72 cm or 28.64 inches.
Sori : 2.7 cm or 1.06 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.88 cm or 1.13 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.96 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Muromachi Peirod 1455 (560 years ago)
Shape : It is regular width and thickness. Deep Sori elegant shape. Kissaki is rather long end.
Bo-Hi is engraved on the Ji.
Jitetsu : Koitame Hada with with mixture of Mokume hada. Well graind jingae and Ji-Nie is attached.
Hamon : Nioi Deki Choji Midare with Gunome midare mixed. Boshi is Midarekomi style.
Special feature : The founder of Bishu Osafu Norimitsu has succeed as the student of Nagamitsu.
The following generation have been succeeded after him such as Iesuke of Ouei Periid and Norimitu of fourth period.
At that time, the battle field has shifted to the earth field and many have been fought with Katate-Uchi(One handed) work.
Of such background, long katana has been existing.
This sword is Ubu-Ba(Eig sword and the shape of that time could be well seen.
During Eikyo period, Sukemitsu has been active.
It is exceptional shape with nice Jigane.
It is Ububa work of 560 years ago.
