Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period
Shape : O-Suriage mumei wide and thick magnificent looking katana. It is sublime piece of work.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with clear hada.Chikei is well seen.
Hamon : Nie plate with deep nioiguchi. Suguha with ashi attached.
Special feature : Following the forefather Ko-Nyudo Kunimitsu, Ecchu koku Kouda group has flourished over time generating sword smith such as Kunifusa, Kunimitsu and Kunitsugu.
They have flourished until around late Muromachi period.
This sword is ride and thick dynamic piece.
You could enjoy viewing many different expression in the jigane.
Recently NBTHK issued as Echizen Rai and old NBTHK paper was issued as Sikkake.
But Mr Tanobe seisei's sayagaki, Eccyu kuni Kouda school.
I think Mr Tanobe sensei's sayagaki is the best of all Kanteisyo.
The Jigane looks Norishige jigane both shinogiji and hamon is suguha with kasha.
This blade is equal of Jyuyo token which is very healthy nice work.
The sword might upgrade to Jyuyo token.
