This Fuyuhiro belongs to Jyojyosaku ranking.
Top quality polish
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 66.8 cm or 26.29 inches.
Sori : 2.35 cm or 0.92 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.28 cm or 1.29 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era :Muromachi period Meiou (1492-1501)
Shape : It is Naginata Naoshi katana with Bohi engraved
on both side of the blade. It is nice shape katana.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Chikei works appearing. There is a crack on the front side
15cm across the Hamachi area.
Hamon : Nie Deki Suguha style with mixture of gunome midare.
There is koashi and sunagashi works in the ha.
Special feature : Fuyuhiro is a swordsmith of Wakakusa province.
He was active from Meio period of Muromachi period.
In the NBTHK Museum, it is attributed as Fuyuhiro
however it is quite doubtful.
If it is sent to Shinsa again, the sword may be attributed differently.
There is Utsuri appearing in the Ji. There is soft ashi and yo works.
The period could be traced back more.
