The blade was polished.
Blade length : 63.4 cm or 24.96 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.94 cm or 1.15 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.07 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is O-Suriage Mumei with much width and thickness. It is strong O-kissaki katana.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jini attached.
There is fine Chikei works attached. It is clear jigane and some utsuri appearing.
Hamon : Nie Deki tight suguha with ashi well attached.
There are much activities towards that tip.
It is overall tight hamon. Boshi is Midare-Komi round end.
Specia : Feature: This late Muromachi period piece has an extremely nice jigane.
From the jigane and the hamon, it is a work of KIyomitsu of Muromachi period.
The sword could also be attributed as Heianjyo Nagayoshi.
In any case, we are not wuite sure until the katana is sent to NBTHK Shinsa.
