Signature: Mumei (unsigned) attributed as Insyu Kanenaga.
Mid Koto : Jyo saku ranking : Inaba.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 71.4 cm or 28.1 inches.
Sori :2.0 cm or 0.79 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi :2.86 cm or 1.1 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.15 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.68cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Nanbokucyo period.
Shape : The blade is cut shortened Suriage Mumei style.
Jigane : Koitame Hada and Mokume-hada mixed with Jinie attach some Oohada appear.
Hamon : Koniedeki Suguha with small Ashi and Yo work. Boshi is Hakikake style.
Hamon is bright and some part is lose Hada.
Shinogi-ji Jigane: Itame-hada Masanagare.
Special feature: I think Insyu Kanenaga looks the stream of the Rai school.
Jigane is Koitame-hada well grained with small Utsuri appear which looks like Rai school.
There are some trace of battle Kirikomi Kizu.
I think the blade has changed to Nagamaki style to make it more light.
Blade is slightly tired but the blade itself is very nice and attractive Koto blade.
