The blade was polished.
Blade length : 69.3 cm or 27.3 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.6 inches.
Mekugi : 1.6
Width at the hamachi : 2.92 cm or 1.15 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.98 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.89 cm or 0.35 inches.
Weight : 650 grams
Era : Edo period around Kanbun Era.
Shape : Balde having well balanced width, thickness and curve.
Jitetsu : Itamehada well grained with Jinie attached beautiful Jigane.
Hamon : Nie-deki small Gonome midare with Togari Gonome mixture with many Ashi. Boshi turnes round Haikake style.
Special feature : This blade had NBTHK Hozon paper in past. In that time the blade was estimated as Jumyo. Hozon paper has been lost but the blade is having typical Jigane and Hamon as Mino blade at Edo period, Kanei era.
There are few rust on surface. Those can be remove by polish. The price is around ¥60,000.
Koshirae also has damage so we recommend to craft new Shirasaya for the blade. Fee for crafting new Shirasaya is ¥45,000 for this blade.
