This Mumei (Kanenaga) belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
Habaki: Solid gold Habaki (Nabeshima family)
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 70.0 cm or 27.55 inches.
Sori : 2.3 cm or 0.90 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.31 cm or 1.30 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.70 cm or 1.06 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period.
Shape : Oo Suriage Mumei with Bohi. Wide and thick with elegant deep Sori. Oo-Kissaki gorgeous Katana.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. There are Chikei and clear Utsuri.
Hamon : Nioi Deki, Choji Midare and Ko-Gunome Midare.
There are many Ashi, Yo and Kinsuji. It likes Soden.
Boshi is Midarekomi Hakikake style.
Special feature :Kanenaga was student of Nagayoshi in Bishu Osafune school.
NBTHK appraised this sword as Kanenaga, the blade is wide and thick
healthy blade which is called Sodenbizen.
On the Ji, there are clear Utsuri. Hamon of Kissaki is typcal So-den.
On the solid gold Habaki, Nabeshima family crest is engraved.
This katana owned by Daimyo family. This blade is masterpiece of Soshuden Bizen. We recommend this Katana very much.
