Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae(NBTHK Hozon paper)
Signature : Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Kashu Katsuie.

The blade was polished.
Habaki:gold foileed singlee habaki.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
Blade length : 67.27 cm or 26.48 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.15cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period Eisyo era.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick Ubu mumei with longer kissaki.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with jinie attach soft feeling texture.
Hamon : Niedeki kogunome and cyji midair mixed with ashi.
Special feature : Kasyu Katsuie was working at Late muromachi period
from Kyotoku era to late Muromachi period.
The blade looks 3rd generation Katsauie.
The blade is healthy without Kizu and flow.
Koshirae : The condition is very good.
Tsuba :Round shape iron Tsuba: late Edo period.
Fuchikashira :On the syakudo nanako plate, a shish dog
and peony flower are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black color Wrinkles saya.
Menuki : a dog is engraved with gold clor by syakudo plate.
