Width at the hamachi : 3.03 cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.03 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Early to middle Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick oosuriage mumei
(cut shortened) with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada and mokume hada mixed with jinie attach nice Jingane.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with small ashi work and round shaped Boshi.
Special feature : The founder of the Mihara started from Kamakura period and continued to late Muromachi period.
From Kamakura to Nanbokucho period, we call Komihara school and from early muromachi to middle
muromachi says Mihara school and from middle to late muromachi is called sue mihara school.
This blade is rather wide and thick healthy blade.
The Jigane and Hamon are typical Mihara school.
