The blade was polished.
Habaki:gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 74.8 cm or 29.44 inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.6 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.73 cm or 1.07 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.74 cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.56 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period to Nanbokucyo period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei(cut shortened blade)
with gold inlay Ikoma Iki Kami (very famous Daimyo) hold.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with masa nagger with small chikei work. on the Ji, some utsuri appear.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with thick nioikuchi double hamon and uchinoke work.
In hamon, there are many sunagashi and small kinsuji work.
Boshi is Hakikake style.
Special feature : Senjyuin school started from late Heian era to Muromachi era.
This blade was made around Late Kamakura period.
Senjyuin school sword makers made swords for the priest of Todaiji temple.
So it is quite rare to see the zaikai sword(with signature blade)
but some swords are left as Zaimei Senjyuin Nagayoshi(National treasure) and Rikio.
This blade is elegant shape and typical Yamato school features like Yakizume style boshi and nice Texture.
The Kinzogan mei was made as Ikoma Iki Kami fold.
Ikoma Iki Kami was born at Eiroku 9th(1556) as a son of the Ikoma Chikashige and worked
for Oda Nobunaga and later on, Toyotomi hideyoshi against Nagashiro Tatakai,Odawara battle and also Bunroku battle.
He was worked for Toyotomi Hideyoshi as important task.
