The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 70.9 cm or 27.91 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.89 cm or 1.13 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.12 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.51 cm or 0.2 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period.
Shape : The blade is wide and regular sized oosuriage mumei.
Jitetsu : Koitame had and mokume had mixes with jinie attach and Chirimen hada with Uturi appear.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha based with a lot of soft ash and yo work.
Boshi is midarekomi with nice Kinsuji work.
Special feature : Bizen and Bicyu province are well known producing nice iron sand for making suitable for Tamahagane.
There are many nice sword makers made uncountable swords at that area.
Early stage of Aoe is called Koaoe and middle to late Kamakura is called Cyu Aoe and Late Kamakura to Nanbokucyo period is called Aoe.
Sadatsugu, Tametsugu and Yasutsugu are well known sword makers in Aoe school.
This sword is quite well grained Chirimen had with Chikei and utsuri.
Also fantastic Hamon especially Kissaki hamon and Kinsuji.
