Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae(60th NBTHK Juyo Paper)
Signature : Mumei(Hatakeda Moriie)
Sayagaki: 60th NBTHK Juyo sword. Bizen Koku Hatakeda Moriie.
Osuriage Mumei. There are clear Midare Ustsuri. varied Itame Hada, Kawazuko Choji, Tobiyaki.
In Ha, there Sunagashi and Kinsuji. This is typical Hatakeda Moriie and exellent masterpiece.
Blade langth is 67.0cm. By Mr. Tanobe in June 2016.

This Mumei(Hatakeda Moriie) belongs to Saijo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 67.0 cm or 26.37 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.665 cm or 1.04 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.59 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Kamakura period, around Shogen era(1259-1260).
Shape : Regular size, Osuriage Mumei Katana with large Sori.
The Kissaki is long. The nice shape Katana.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
There are Chikei. The Jigane is clear.
The Shinogiji is also Itame Hada, Mokume Hada and Masanagare.
Hamon : Ko-Nie Deki, Choji Midare. In Ha, there are Ashi, Yo and Sunagashi and Kinsuji.
Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : Sword smith Moriie , a son of the Fukuoka Ichimonji school Morichika,
lived in Hatakeda area of Bizen province.
Some of his blade were similar to Osafune Sword Smiths' blade who worked around the same time.
He was famous for his Kawazuko Choji Midare Hamon.
NBTHK Juyo paper said that the Jigane is Itame Hada and Mokume Hada.
There are Chikei and Midare Utsuri. The Hamon is Choji Midare and Kawazuko Chosji.
There are Ashi, Yo, Tobiyaki, Kinsuji and Sunagashi.
This is typical Moriie blade. We recommend this sword for you.

Shakudo, cherry blossom is engraved.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo, leaf is engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki : Shakudo, leaf is engraved with gold color.
