Habaki : Gold double foiled habaki
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 69.2 cm or 27.24 inches.
Sori : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi : 1 is open, 1 is fill ed.
Width at the hamachi : 2.62 cm or 1.03 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 1.47 cm or 0.57 inches.
Kasane : 0.47 cm or 0.18 inches.
Era : Gankyo Late Kamakura period year 1321
Shape : It is O-suriage mumei style piece. There are much curves
Jitetsu : Ko-itame hada well grained with undulating ko-mokume hada.
Jinie is thickly attached. The utsuri clearly appears. The jigane is also fine condition.
Hamon : Konie ground with mixture of shoji midare. There are ash and yo activities with soft nioiguchi.
Special feature : Kagemasa is a son of Nagamitsu and the brother of Kagemitsu. He was called Shinshi Saburou and Uzaemonshoushou .
Because he was in the shade of Kagemitsu, there are not may swords he has made.
Alike Nagamitsu, there are gorgeous choji midare hamon where it becomes soft from the monouchi area.
This sword has is gorgeous Bizen shoji midare. It is fine and elegant shape sword. It is well made piece of work.
