This :Mumei(Katsumura Masakatsu) belongs to Jyo-saku ranking.
The blade was polished
Habaki :double copper gold color habaki.
Blade length : 75.1 cm or 29.56 inches.
Sori : 2.8 cm or 1.10 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi :2.662 cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the Kissaki :1.75cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.99 cm or 0.38 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is regular width and very thick with deep sori and also long nakago.
Jitetsu :Masame hada well grained with jinie attach be beautiful massage texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with uchinoke and small ash.
Bo-shi is round shape.
Special feature :Katsumura Masakatsu First he was suiting at Ishido Korekazu for making sword.
And then he studied from Katsumura Norikatsu(Tokkatsu)
and got married with his master's daughter.
The deki(quality) is almost same as his master.
His swords are not many I think he helped his maser making swords.
The blade is wonderful massage hada.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the mokko style iron plate, some clouds are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo plate, dragon is engraved.
Saya : black isimeji style.
Menuki : On the copper plate, shish dog is engraved with gloss color.
Kojiri:On the syakudo plate, some design is engraved.
