Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 67.7 cm or 26.65 inches.
Sori : 1.9 cm or 0.74 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.75 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.17 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Weight : 635 gram.
Era : Early Muromachi period.1400(610 years ago)
Shape : The blade is almost Ubu style which is regular size with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Komokume had well grained with jinie attach and clear Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Nioideki choji midare hamon with ashi Yo scatter in Ha.
Boshi is midarekomi.
Special feature : The founder of the Morishige is Kanemitsu, and continued to Muromachi period.
Tomomitsu, Moromitsu and also Morimitsu, Yasumitsu are quite well known sword makers at that period.
Also oomiya Morikage is also well known sword maker and probably Morishige is a son of the Morikage.
But recently some different opinion about Morishige which is a son of the Morimitsu.
The Hamon is very active and clear Utsuri on this sword.
Even though there are some small lose hada but not serious.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the round shape iron Tsuba, some design is engrave open work.
Fuchi : On the syakudo nanako plate, some butterflies are engraved. Kasher:horn.
Menuki : Horse is engraved.
Saya : Kawarinuri saya.
