This sword belongs to regular saki.)
The blade was polished
Habaki : Copper single habaki.
Blade length : 62.0 cm or 24.40 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.47cm or 0.97 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.67 cm or 0.65 inches.
Kasane : 0.61m or 0.24 inches.
Era : Middle Muromachi.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei(cut shortened) slender with deep sori elegant shape.
Jitetsu : Itame had masanagare with jinie attach blackish texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with double hamon and Uchinoke.
Boshi is round midarekomi hakikake style.
Special feature : At Yamato, 5 streams of school, Tegai, Hosyo, Sikkake, Senjyuin and Taima school.
This blade belongs to Tegai school.
Probably the blade was madare middle Muromacchi period which is called Sue Tegai school.
On the shinogoji, iteme hada and masanagare well grained.
so the blade belongs to middle Muromachi period.
The blade has passed so many years so there are some openings and flow.
But we can enjoy the texture and hamon well.
The sword was holder by many samurai handed over so many years.
Even though the blade is not good condition, we find nice part of the blade.
