The blade was polished.
Blade length : 77.11cm or 30.37inches.
Sori : 1.2cm or 0.47inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.05cm or 1.2inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.04cm or 0.8inches.
Kasane : 0.68cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo Kanbun period.
Shape : It is wide and thick magnificent look katana.
Jitetsu :Itame hada with mixture of mokume hada. The utsuri is clear.
Hamon : Konie base Choji midare with mixture of Fukuro shoji midare. It is gorgeous looking hamon.
The boushi is notare style and round ended.
Special feature : Musashi Daisho Sakon Korekazu has been called Kawakami Sakon. He was born in Oumi no kuni
Gamou ward. He has been part of Oumi Sekidou group smith and later on moved to Edo. Dewano kami Mitsuhira, Tsuima
kami Tsunemitsu, Hata Touren has been successful at Musashi province.
At that time, Fukuoka Sekidou has made pieces that resembles Ichimonji. Musashi daijyou Korekazu pieces are much like Yoshioka Ichimonji. The shape has the characteristic of Kanbun Shinto with shallow sori. It is a fine piece.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : On shinchu base wave and dragon is engraved. The rim has rope pattern engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira :Shakudou nanakoji with dragon engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Unique painted saya.
Menuki : There are design that seems to by like some kind of plant. It is inlayed with gold.
