The blade was polished.
Blade length : 74 cm or 29.14 inches.
Sori : 2.9 cm or 1.14 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.22 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.35 cm or 0.92 inches.
Kasane : 0.77 cm or 0.30 inches.

Shape : It is wide 3.22 cm wide and thick with deep Sori.
There is bohi engraved on both side of the blade. It is Inokubi style excellent shape katana.
Hamon : Nioideki with mixture of Konie. It is gorgeous hamon that is mix of choji midare with mixture of Jyukka choji midare.
Fine Kinsuji works are in the ha. Boshi is undulating with again Kinsuji appearing.
Special feature : Musashi Koku Jyu Yoshihara Souji is a sword smith famous for Mukansa sword smith.
He became Mukansa smith after winning several prized such as special award of Meito Exhibition and Commissioner of Cultural Affairs award.
He is the chairman of all Japan Sword Smith Assosiation and has won the Commissioner of Cultural Affairs award 3 times and other special prizes 11 times.
He has been actively working overseas as well.
Many of his work is Bizen utsushi (imitation) and especially the Ichimonji utsushi work is excellent.
What is remarkable is that there is utsuri(fog like white line on Ji) work.
After the Bakumatsu(last shogunate) period, the Utsuri reproduction skills were lost.
Other modern sword smith who is skillful of producing Utsuri is Sword smith Sumitani .
Yoshihara Soji smith is the most likely winner of human national treasure in the near future.
