This sword Nosyu Akasaka Jyu Kaneiwa belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :copper single
Blade length : 69.06 cm or 27.18 inches.
Sori : 1.05 cm or 0.41 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.66 cm or 1.04 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.11 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.71cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period. about 1593Tensyo era.
Shape : The blade is regular size with small sori suriage mumei shape.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare with togari gunome midare mixed.
In Hamon, there are many ashi and sunagashi.
Boshi is round shape with hakikake brush up.
Special feature : Nosyu Akasaka Ju Kaneiwa was working
at Mino province at late Muromachi period.
Generally these area mino or bizen province war time,
the swords were made rather mass productve way
but this sword id good Jigane and Hamon.
Koshirae :
Saya : black roiro saya.
Tsuba : The Tsuba is thick iron Tsuba with some design engrave.
Middle Edo.
Menuki : bigger size dragon is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo a dragon is engraved with gold color
Back ground of the history: At Tensyo Gannen August 28 Oda Nobunaga
destroyd Kotani casstle which was Asai Nagamasa and he did seppuku(harakiri) by himself. this place is designated as a national ruin at present.
