The blade was polished.
Habaki : Single copper plate habaki.
Blade length : 69.9cm or 27.51inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.92cm or 1.15inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.87cm or 0.74inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is regular width with some Sori.
It is long end nice shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained wi th jinie attached.
It is clear jigane. There are some small kisu that is not serious.
Hamon : Nioi Deki gunome midare with ashi attached. There are sunagashi and weak kinsuji work could be observed.
Special feature : Noshu Jyu Kaneshige is a sword smith group that was active
from Middle to late Muromachi period. The group had high
reputation for the Nioiguchi gunome with much sharpness. This piece is nioi-deki gunome midare
with choji midare mixed. There are some small kizu but the overall balance is good.
It is suitable for Iai, Batto or even display.

Shoami Shigenobu. Mid Edo Period. It is Aizu Shoami piece
Saya: Black roiro saya
Fuchigashira: Shakudo nanakoji with flower design engraved and inlayed with gold.
Menuki: Shakudo nanakoji plate with horse design engraved and inlayed with gold.
