Era :Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep sori and long ookissaki boshi nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with jinie attach beautiful texture.
Hamon : From the Hamachi, suguha and then gunome midair and Doranba with thick nioikuchi and some parts make Tama(circle hamon). Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : The real name of the Kato Tsunahide is called Kato Suketaro. He was born at Dewa and worked for Yonezawa family.
He was older brother of Kato Kunihide. He and his younger brother Cyounsai Tsunatoshi moved to Edo and studied under the Suishinshi masahide.At that period, Doranba hamon is very popular and studied this technique his master Masahide. He made Doranba hamon with his younger brother Tsunatoshi. We have some chances to see their Doranba hamon. This sword is high quality doranba hamon with Tama(circles).
