On Kanbun 5th year(1665) December 22nd, Yamano Kantaro Nagatsugu
has layered two bodies and cut the *Karigane area in one stroke.
*Karigane is the third most hardest part of the body when doing cutting test

The sori is shallow and kissaki is long ended.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is beautiful highest quality jigane.
Hamon : Nie structure thick suguha with thick ashi and sunagashi and kinsuji works.
Special feature : Oumi Daijyo Houjyouji Tachibana Masahiro was called Segawa Saburo Daiu
and he was from Segawa Saburo Daiu and made similar blades
to Nagasone Kotetsu or the head of Edo Hojyoji school.
This piece has Kinzogan signature and is famous of its sharpness.
jThe condition is similar to Nagasone Kotetsu and it is sharp.
If it were to be sent to appraisal, this piece could get Nagasone Kotetsu or Okimasa.
It is same quality as Nagasone Okimasa. It compares favourably with Juyo swords.
Koshirae : It is nice condition katana koshirae
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with pine and fish basket engraved and inlayed with gold.
The dark jigane is excellent. MId Edo period.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo plate with cherry blossom deisgn engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Unique design saya
Menuki : On shakudo plate, weapon design is engraved and inlayed with gold.
