This Oumi Kami Fujiwara Tsunehira belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 84.7 cm or 33.34 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.15 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.98 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 1.02 cm or 0.40 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Shotoku era(1711-1716).
Shape : It is long, wide and thick sharp katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
The jigane is top class.
Hamon : Nie deki with deep nioiguchi. Thick suguha is burned.
Sunagashi and kinsuji work is appearing. Boshi has deep nioiguchi sharp end.
Special feature : Oumi Kami Fujiwara Tsunehira has continued from first generation to fourth generation.
The first generation Fujiwara Tsunehira also known for the name Fujita Koube is originally from Echizen province. As a student of Yasutsugu he has actively working in Edo. Second generation Tsunehira is famous for making Oshigata.
His works are resembles the work of Yasutsugu but this work has shallow Sori(curve) of Kanbun Shinto. It is 84.7cm long katana.
It is at a glance, similar to Sa Yukihide so he may have set a goal to make blades like Yukihide.
His works are also alike to Inoue Shinkai but JIgane is quite strong compare to him.
It is long and nicely forged work. It is deep nioiguchi soft edge ha.
