This blade is typical Ryokai and noble sword. This blade was made around Eikyoera(1308-1310).

Koto: Jyo Saku : Yamashiro province.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 70.75 cm or 27.85 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.70cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.40 cm or 0.55 inches.
Kasane : 0.55 cm or inches.
Era : Kamakura period, around Einin era(1293-1298).
Shape : Rather Suriage But almost Ubunakago.
Ko-Kissaki, Koshizori blade.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Masame mix. There are Jinie and Shirake-Utsuri.
Hamon : Suguha, Konie, tight Hamon with Notare and Ko-Gunome.
There are double Ha. Boshi is Komaru shape.
Special feature : According to NBTHK Juyo paper, the Ryokai was the student of Rai Kunitoshi.
Their blades are similar.
Ryokai's blade has Masame Gokoro and Shirake Utsuri.
The Suguha Hamon is tight. This blade is almost Ubu Nakago and typical Yamashiro Den.
The Sori is elegant and noble shape.
This Hamon has Ko-Ashi and Yo. The bright and briliant blade.
We guess that this blade was kept Daimyo(Japanese feudal lord).
