The blade was polished.
habaki:silver single habaki.
Blade length : 65.13 cm or 25.64 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.06 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.16 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.58 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Showa period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick typical syowa blade.
Jitetsu :Ayasugi hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful Ayasugi hada.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with nezumi ashi and Ko ashi work.
Boshi is also suguha yakizume style.
Special feature : Sendai Ju Masahiro was made at Showa era
and real name is Benji Sugano and lived Yuminomachi Sendai city.
He passed away at 35th of Showa(1960).
He made this Ayasugi hamon during war time.
I have never seen Ayasugi hamon except Gassan Sadakatsu.
The sword looks very old feeling Jigane and shinogi ji jigane.
