Width at the Kissaki : 2.22cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.77cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Edo Kanbun Period
Shape : It is wide and thick shallow sori Kanbun Shinto katana with long kissaki.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is clear hada katana.
Hamon : Nie structure gunome midare with much ups and downs on the ha.
Ashi is well attached.
Special feature : Shimousa Daijyo Fujiwara Kanemasa is a Echizen smith
successful during Kanbun period. It is similar to Echizen Harima Daijyo Shigetaka.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :Round shape iron tsuba with openworks. Kyo-Sukashi tsuba.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo nanakoji plate with shell engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Brown with mixture of red. It is Kawari unique style saya.
Menuki : Shakudo plate with flower design engraved and inlayed with gold.
