This sword belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished by good polisher.
Habaki : Gold single foiled habaki
Blade length : 70.4 cm or 27.72 inches.
Sori : 2.3 cm or 0.9 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.1cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.3 cm or 0.9 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo Period Circa Jyokyo 1684-1687
Shape : It is wide and thick with deep sori. Kissaki is long end and nice shape katana.
Hamon : Nie deki gunome midare with much ups and down in the ha.
It is deep nioiguchi with fine sunagashi appearing. Boshi is round end.
Special feature : Shinano Daijyo Fujiwara Tadakuni first generation was active during Kanai period.
After he has studied under the famous Dewa Daijyo Fujiwara Kunimihi, he moved ti Kajimachi Inaba(now Tottori prefecture).
The second generation, real name Yamamoto Hachiro Dai, it is also known as wazamono smith.
He died at the age of 70 at November of Jyokyo 5th year swordsmith 1688.
The hamon has much ups and down in the ha.
Historical Background : At that time, the Edo federal load was Tokugawa Tsunayoshi.
Jokyo uprising or other name Kasuke uprising happed in 1686.
This was a major peasant uprising leaded by Tada Kasuke who was one of the many Japanese farmers who protested to lower taxes.
