Sunshu ju Yoshisada made this blade on June Lucky day 1748.
The blade was polished.
Habaki:gold foiled single Habaki.
Shinto:Cyusaku ranking:Suruga province.
Blade length : 71.8cm or 28.26 inches.
Sori : 1.5cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.82cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.73cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.69cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Mid Edo period.
Shape : It is suriage machiokuri katana with Bo-Hi engraved and both side od the blade. It is regular width and thickness elegant shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attached. IT is beautiful had pattern.
Hamon : Nie Deki gunome midair with mixture of shoji midair. There is ups and down in the ha and active sunagashi works seen.
Special feature : Sunshu jyu Yoshisada is Suruga province and 2 generations first and second. The blade looks old Koto style sword. The blade is wild feeling active sword.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :Shakudo plate that is surrounded by shakudo nanako-ji. There is shell pattern engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchi: Shakudo nanakoji with family crest engraved and inlayed with gold.
Kashira : Black horne.
Saya : Gray color Ishimeji pattern with black liner pattern drawn in laquer.
Menuki : Shakudo plate with leaf pattern engraved and inlayed with gold.
Kojiri: Brass plate
