Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon paper)
Signature : Ujinobu (Shin-shinto)

This sword belongs to Jojo saku ranking.
On Shinogiji, we can see some rust. We remove all of the rust and ship the blade to you.
Habaki : Gold colored copper single Habaki.
Blade length : 65.4 cm or 25.7 inches.
Sori : 0.15 cm or 0.06 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 3.11 cm or 1.22 inches.
Sakihaba: 2.34 cm or 0.92 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with suitable curve and Ookissaki style nice shape.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained, texture and Chikei work because of its Hadatachi.
Hamon : Nioideki Gunome Midare with Midarekomi style Boshi.
Special feature : The founder of the Ujinobu started from mid Muromachi period and continued to late Edo period.
The blade is healthy.
This swordsmith is not so famous but the sword quality is good.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : In side of the metal, 2 sages and pine tree are engraved on iron Tsuba with gold color. Rim of Tsuba is covered by gold.
Menuki : Leaf is engraved on Shakudo plate.
Fuchikashira : Flower (Chinese bellflower) engraved on Shakudo nanakoji plate with gold color.
Saya: Black Rorio Saya.
