The blade was polished.
Habaki:copper with gold color single habaki.
Blade length : 71.8 cm or 28.26 inches.
Sori : 2.4cm or 0.94 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.1cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.97 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick
with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame ahda well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair with deep nioikuchi.
Ashi scatter and sunagashi, small kinsuji work.
Taikei Naotane was born at Dewa Yamagata prefecture.
At Bubsei 4th, he got the title of the Chikuzen Daijyo and
after that he changed to Mino Kami/ He muved to Edo
and became a student of the Suishinshi Masahide.
While he was working under the Masahide, Hosokawa Masayoshi was also working together.
After that he established his own factory and made many swords.
He made Sosyu den school at Tenpo era marvelous excellent sword.
His skill is excellent sosyu, Bizen, Yamashiro and also Yamato school.
This sword si sosyu den style with very active vivid hamon like Samonji.
He passed away at Ansei 4th May 27th age 79 years.
