Signature : Yamashiro kami Nimura Sakon Fujiwara Toshinaga
Shinto: Jyo saku: Ryo wazamono: Yamashiro province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This blade belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki: Single silver Habaki.
Blade length : 69.5 cm or 27.36 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.80 cm or 1.10 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.93 cm or 0.75 inches.
Kasane : 0.60 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Manji era(1658-1660).
Shape : Regular size with small Sori. Kanbun Shinto style, Suriage Machiokuri Katana.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. It is clear Yamashito Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha base with thick Nioikuchi and wide Ashi.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi. Boshi is Hakikake style.
There are Tobiyaki. It looks like Soshu blade.
Special feature : Yamashiro kami Nimura Sakon Fujiwara Toshinaga succeed Awa Tokushima province.
He moved to Yamashito Horikawa later. And he was called Yamashiro kami Nimura Gizaemon.
His first signature is Hirotsugu and then Yamashiro kami Toshinaga.
His blade cuts well and was designated as Ryo Wazamono.
There is only few "Yamashiro kami Nimura Sakon Fujiwara Toshinaga"signature.
This blade was made carefully. The Jigane is nice. And polishing is also nice.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Mokko shape Shakudo Nanako Tsuba, Samurai is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira : Shibuichi, cherry blossom is engraved with gold color. Late Edo period.
Signature: Ranjuken Mitsunao saku.
Saya : Black Roiro color.
Menuki : Abumi(stirrups) and whip are engraved with gold color.
