The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper foiled gold coloer habaki
Blade length : 71.7 cm or 28.23 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.14 cm or 1.23 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.28 cm or 0.89 inches.
Kasane : 0.73 cm or 0.28 inches.
Weight of only blade : 730 g
Era : Modern period.
Shape : There is bo-hi at both side of the blade. It is wide and thick elegant curve shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is beautiful jigane.
Hamon : Nie structure gunome midare line. Ashi is well attached.
There is long sunagashi and kinsuji work seen. Boushi is midare komi line.
Special feature : Yashiro Jyu Yoshitsugu was the pupil of master sword smith Moriyoshi.
He has entered in to Moriyoshi's school at Showa 27th year and has helped his mentor make swords.
Because he had been assisting his mentor for a long time, his swords are quite similar to Moriyoshi.
This sword is the masterpiece of Yoshitsugu and it is deep nioiguchi gunome midare with long kinsuji line.
He was born in Showa 6th period and has received Award of Effort and winning prize.
It is excellent piece. We recommend this katana very much.

Tsuba : On iron plate, flower design is engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira : On iron plate, flower design is engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Black wickerwork style design.
Menuki : On shakudo plate, flower design is engraved.
