According to the sayagaki, the swords were made 20 pieces.
The sword was number 16th of these 20 swords.
The style is unique and rare item.
Kogarasumaru was said that the blade was treasure sword for Heike family.
So at the end of Edo period and Meiji,Taisho and Showa many swordsmith tried to make this kind of unusual shaped sword.
