The blade was polished.
Blade length : 68.0 cm or 26.77 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.04 cm or 0.80 inches.
Kasane : 0.73 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Showa period.
Shape : Wide and thick blade.
Jitetsu : Mujifu.
Hamon : Gunome Midare with Ashi. Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : Kanetaka was swordsmith in Seki of Mino province.
And he was descended form San-ami school in late Muromachi period.
This blade is not forged. But now that 70 years after the war,
this kind of blade is invaluable. The Koshirae of that time is in good condition.
But a dent is on both side. The parents prepared the sword for his son to go to war.
Japanese military man have to prepare the sword by himself.
