Shape : It is a suriage machiokuri katana. Suriage of 6cm. The blade is rather long and mihaba and kasane.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Konie base, suguha with koashi mix. Boshi is round shape.
Special feature : Izumo (No) Kami Fujiwara Yoshitake was a swordsmith of Yamashiro province. The First was a son of Horikawa Kunitake in Kyoto. It is said that they were descendants of Sanjo Yoshinori. Yoshitake moved to Edo and formed a friendship with the Hojoji School. The First Yoshitake passed away in 1694 and his adopted son succeeded Yoshitake as the Second.
It is a fine piece with well grained hadame.
Tsuba : Otafuku shape iron tsuba. The rim is shakudou.
Fuchikashira :On a base which seems to be shibuichi, there are
very delicate whirlpool like pattern engraved. It is fine piece.
Saya : Black roiro saya
Menuki : On tetsuji base, there are some patterns engraved and
inlayed with gold.
