Blade length : 62.2cm or 24.49inches.
Sori : 3.2cm or 1.26inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.1cm or 1.22inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.25cm or 0.89inches.
Kasane : 0.75cm or 0.3inches.
Era : Edo period Genroku
Shape : It is regular width and thickness. There is deep sori of 3.1cm.
It is katakiri ba style rare piece of work. On the front of the ji, there is Gomabashi sticks and on back side bonji character and kurikara is engraved on the back.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. IT is clear hada.
Hamon : Nie structure Gunome midare with some Tobiyaki burn attached. In the ha there is Ashi attached.
Special Feature: It is very rare katana with deep sori. There is sculpture engraved in the blade. It is katakiri ba style katana. I have never seen such piece of work. From the jigane and hamon, we think it is Echizen Shinto work.
