Showa Hinoe-uma doshi, Yayoi-bi, Kanzan Shirusu (Kao).
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 70.2 cm or 27.63 inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.23 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.02 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Early Edo period.about Kanbun era(about 1661)
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick healthy blade and longer kissaki.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach nice texture.
Hamon : Niedeki wide suguha and gunome midare mixed.
Ashi with deep nioikuchi work and sunagashi and also small kinsuji work.
Special feature : Oumi Kami Hojyuji Tachibana Masahiro was named Takigawa who was bone at tajima province.
Later on he moved to Edo and communicated with grat master Kotetsu.
Studied from him and founded Houjyoji school and became the master of the school.
There are number of the student like Sadakuni, Kunimasa, Masateru Masatsugu and so on.
This sword is typical Masahiro style like Kotetsu.
Historical background: In 1663, Shogunate government changed Bukesho Hatto (Rules to control Daimyo) . It’s called Kanbun-rei.
Koshirae : The Koshirae is fantastick high grade Koshirae.
Tsuba :On the iron tsuba, some design are engraved with open work.
Fuchikashira :On the shakudo plate, flowers are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black roiro saya(high grade)
Menuki : On the shakudo plate, some flowers are engraved with gold color.
Kozuka : On the shakudo nanako plate, Wistaria flower is engraved with gold color.
Kogatana : On the shakudo nanako plate, Wistaria flower and tangerine orange are engraved with gold color.
