Jidai(era) : Edo period.
Special feature: On Shakudo Nanakoji plate, peacock design is engraved and inlaid with gold. On the Fitting Directory(Kodogu Jiten), it is written “Peocock is a fine motif used in many of the fittings. The overall figure is in excellent balance with the long tail.”
This piece is just as it is described in the Directory. The gold inlay and the feather texture is well illustrated.
