Special feature: Shakudo nanakoji plate with horse and child design engraved and inlaid with gold and silver.
Koujyo is the 3rd son of Goto 3rd generation and is born in Kyoto.
After his father’s death, he has moved to Bungo Tanba Mura with his monther but moved back to Kyoto and worked under Oda Nobunaga. He has made weight and large sized gold coin for Nobunaga and Hideyoshi.
This piece is typical “less is more” work. The nanako plate is brings up the landscape scenery. The motifs are engraved in details as well.
