Special feature: On Shibuichi plate, dragonfly is engraved and inlayed with gold. Dragon flies are symbolized as the spirit of “courageousness” from the way they move forward but never going backward. Hence, it was a popular insect for warriors and is still now called “Kachimushi-Insect that brings victory”. The feather in this kozuka reminds us of the fine veins of a leaf. The backside could be shigure filing. It is beautiful piece of work. It is in good condition.
