Yamato Kuni Sikkake Norinaga Ubunakago 8 characters long signature.Norinaga continued severa generation.
This blade was made around Nanbokucyo period which is high shinogi and good work and also it is good data because He didn't make many swords during his life. The blade was belonged to Daimyo Mori family which is very precious.
Polish:The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.

Width at the hamachi : 2.88 cm or 1.13 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.935 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period.(1370)
Shape : The blade is Ubu style and rather deep sori nice looking Kodachi style.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attach and small chikei work.
Hamon : Koniedeki suguha and kogunome midare mixed.
In Hamon, there are many gunome midare and ashi yo scatter and also small sunagashi, kinsuji work.
Special feature : Yamato school consist of Senjyuin,Taima,Shikkake, Tegai and Hosyo school. The founder of the shikkake was Norinaga. Very few swords which were made by Norinaga cut the signatures on the Nakago. So it is very difficult to investigate his story. The data of his work which was made Bunpo 3rd year's Tanto exhist.
The reason why not only Shikkake school but also other Yamato school's signature blade are few is that buddist priests made swords at that time. The blade is wide shinogi haba and itame nagare hada which is typical Yamato school. The signature is very attractive and characteristic unusual shape. Inside of the hamon is very active by ashi and yo. This sword is very precious Daimyo Mori family's item. We attach the picture of the Daimyo who holded late Edo period. Shikkake zaimei sword(with signature) is very rare and precious.
