Signature: There is a signature engraved Kanetsune
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper single foiled habaki
Blade length : 40.8 cm or 16.07 inches.
Sori : 3.2 cm or 1.26 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Blade Weight : 700g
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is a good shape naginata.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attached. There are flows of masa in the jigane too.
Hamon : Nie base suguha. There are some burn in the shinogiji.
Special feature : Kanetsune is a sword smith from Mino province. He has great reputation.
From my view, this signature is genuine but from the condition of the nakago it seems to be re-tempered.
However, the fine jigane and hamon is very enjoyable to view. The polish is well done.
