Shape : It is wide and thick solid tanto . Gomabashi is engraved on both sides of the blade.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attahced. It is clear jihada.
Hamon : Nie deki gunome midare with ashi well attached. Boshi is round turnback,
Special feature : Geihan Minamoto Masamitsu was also called
Akinokuni Izumo Daijyo Minamoto Masamitsu.
He was a student of Aoki Motonaga.
He was active from around Tenpo period to early Meiji period
around sword prohibition.
The signature is unique with typical Shinshinto work.
It is healthy work with Original Ha(Ububa) remaining.
